Giving Back to Society

Students have a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our communities and develop essential life skills. By engaging in social responsibility initiatives, we can foster empathy, cultivate leadership qualities, and make a lasting impact.

Community Service at Nyambugichi Primary

As part of our social responsibility project, we, as students, visited Nyambugichi primary school. We were eager to contribute positively to the community and make a difference in the lives of young learners. The experience was incredibly rewarding. We engaged with the students through various activities, such as tutoring, playing games, and sharing stories. It was heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm and curiosity. We also helped with minor maintenance tasks around the school, such as farm inspection, litter collection and cleaning classrooms. By volunteering our time and skills, we hope to have inspired these young minds and fostered a sense of community.

Community Service at Kimathi Primary – Sagana

On the 8th of February, 2025, we had the opportunity to donate a water tank and plant trees at Kimathi Primary School in Sagana. As part of our community service at Kimathi Primary School -Sagana, our team of students, including myself, organized a raffle to raise money for the water tank, refreshments for the Kimathi students, and other related expenses. We sold raffle tickets to our fellow students and teachers.

On the day of the event, we arrived at school between 8:00 and 8:30 am and departed for Sagana at 9:00 am. We reached Kimathi Primary around 11:00 am and immediately began working. We divided into two groups: one focused on constructing the water tank’s foundation, while the other planted trees.

The photos below show us working as a team with the Kimathi primary school students to get the material for erection of a base for the donated water tank at the school. Together, we worked to ensure that all needed materials, and work tools are avaialble when needed by the construction workers onsite.
